6 tips for beating holiday stress this Thanksgiving and enjoying the holiday with family and friends. Spreading out the to-do-list over a period of time allows you to create a master plan, getting everything done, and avoid holiday overload. We are all busy, so adding one more thing to our to-do list can create immediate anxiety. We all want our Thanksgiving holiday to be relaxing, memorable, and fun.
Dressing For The Holiday
Noooo, not turkey and dressing. Dress for the holiday!. I prefer to order, rather than spend a Saturday afternoon shopping. So, here are a couple of sites you can check out for yourself.
I have had experience with Lulu’s. A friend used Lulu’s for her daughter’s bridesmaids dresses, and they were lovely. My daughter-in-law is the one that told me about Lulu’s. She bought a beautiful dress for her engagement pictures from Lulu’s. This link is not her dress, but I just love that look! I asked them both about customer service, quality, fit, and both were very happy with everything.
I had never heard of SHEIN before and expected to find a site for women only, but they have clothes for everyone in the family. They can help you dress the man and the kids in your life for the holidays as well as yourself.
Right now there are some great deals from SHEIN and Lulu’s, which is always a huge bonus. Who doesn’t like a deal? It’s November already! Finding the perfect holiday outfit needs to be done now. If you find something you want, order it NOW! Thanksgiving is just around the corner.
Always take a look at their fit guides and return policy. I prefer to call because most customer service reps are very good resources for how the clothes fit within the company they work for. I like knowing there is a person there to help whether it’s for orders or returns. It lessens the anxiety of not being able to physically try on clothes ahead of time, but that’s me!
Now that you’ve had a chance to check out both websites, let’s get to my very best tip!
Most Important Holiday Tip You’ll Ever Get
Ask for help! #1
Ask someone to help by vacuuming, cleaning up the yard, decorating, taking your shopping list and picking everything up for you. I always do my best to fit the task to the person. When they ask if they can help, I ask what they would like to do. This way, you get help and they feel successful as well. Everyone is happy!
Thanksgiving Menu And Holiday Shopping
About mid-November I plan the menu, check the pantry for staples and spices and purchase all the hard to find and non-perishable food and any napkins or plates for Thanksgiving week. We have people staying for more than one day.
I will buy the turkey and ham along with any other food that can be frozen. I will also purchase hard to find cheese whiz, multiple cans of chicken broth, butter, and any other non-perishable foods that are specific to my menu. I always hope I don’t have to run out for flour at the last minute. Sometimes this works, but usually not! LoL
I save all fresh produce purchases, such as fruits and vegetables or meats that cannot be frozen, for the week of Thanksgiving.

Tips To Easily Prepare The Inside Of Your Home #3
I clean as I decorate, so I usually start there! I clean decorate the house one room at a time This year is the first year I will put up the Christmas tree for Thanksgiving. Everyone is coming home for Thanksgiving, but not for Christmas.
Then, I tackle the vacuuming and dusting any area left over. I’ve started using a Swiffer duster for the vast majority of my dusting because it’s quicker and I can get in and out of delicate areas!
I save my bathrooms for last. I always use medical gloves to protect my hands and just feel clean! Two of my favorite products for the tub and shower are Kaboom (very little scrubbing, just wipe it down) and Tilex Mold and Mildew. Wow! You can literally see it remove any stains. I love this stuff, need it or not!

Tip To Prepare Your Fur Babies For The Holiday #5
Last but not least, I give our fur babies a bath the day before guests arrive. They’ll get lots of attention if they have had a bath and smell wonderful! Not to mention, they look great too! Very fashionable in their clean fur.
I also wash all their bedding! Since all my fur babies will know everyone, all that is left is for them to be excited to see their family. If I had guests they weren’t used to or a large number, I would put them up so they were not stressed and overwhelmed with so many people in their home.
Back To The Fun Stuff #6
